Iranian Film and Art Day Held in Kaduna State  

   On the occasion of the beginning of the celebrations of the 46th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, the Cultural Consultation of our country in Nigeria has prepared a series of programs for the decade of the dawn of the Islamic Revolution for this year. 

In this regard, the Cultural Consultation of our country has introduced the artistic achievements of Islamic Iran in the field of film and creative industry in this country by benefiting from local capacities, institutions, organizations and networks throughout Nigeria. In this regard, with  the planning of "Iranian Film and Art Day in Kaduna State" was held in Nigeria.

    In the opening ceremony of the Film and Art Day of the Islamic Republic of Iran in this state  , Mr. Mohammad Abubakar, Director of Production of  Kaduna Film Center, known as "AS Pro", said that the Islamic Republic of Iran has achieved very important achievements in the field of film and cinema in the international and regional arenas, and every year we see the brilliance of a large number of productions and works of this country in international festivals such as Cannes, Berlin, and Oscars. And we are India, and Iran is famous in the world for producing films with ethical content, and today film and conceptual cinema are somehow indebted to Iran.

In this cultural and artistic event, the film "In  the Arms of the Tree" directed and written by Babak Khajeh Pasha and produced by Mohammad Reza Mesbah and Sajjad Nasrollahi Nasab (2022) was screened in one of the cinemas of the Kaduna State Campus. The film was screened in February 2023 at  the 41st Fajr International Film Festival  and won the Best First Film and Best Screenplay awards from the festival, as well as representing Iran at the 2025 Oscars.

It is worth mentioning that the Iranian Film and Art Day was held in the state of Kaduna with the very close cooperation of the General Directorate of Media Cooperation and Cyberspace of the organization.
