The Cultural House of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mumbai in collaboration with the Samadiya College of Arts and Commerce in Bhiwandi  a suburb of Mumbai organized a Two-day international multidisciplinary conference on Indo-Iranian relations  A Social Cultural Commercial Historical Political Philosophical and Technological Assessment at Samadhi College of Arts and Commerce in suburban Mumbai India to commemorate the decade of the beginning of the Islamic Revolution on 10 to 11 Bahman 1403

The inaugural session of this program was held in the presence of Balia Mama Suresh Gopinath Mahatre Member of Parliament Speaker Qasim Sheikh Member of Parliament of Maharashtra State Firoz Mithi Borwala President of India Palestine Solidarity Association Mohammad Reza Fazel Director of Islamic Republic of Iran Cultural House in Mumbai Dr.Mohammad Fahim Assistant Professor of Indian Studies at Pridi Banumyong International College Thammasat College Bangkok Thailand, Dr. Mohammad Aref, Dean of Samadiyya Faculty, Dr. Tabassum Sheikh Principal of Momin Bhiwandi Womens College Professor Ayman T.R. Yousef, Dean of Heydaria School of Arts, Arab American College of Palestine (online), and members of the Board of Trustees of Bhiwandi Weavers' Complex as founding board of the faculty, professors and students of this faculty.

The second day of the conference was attended by Professor Ansari Mohammad Issa, Vice Chancellor, Higher Education, Goa, and Professor Sharika Patel, Head, Department of Commerce, Faculty of Law, Dr. Shalina Sharma, Assistant Professor, Government College, Nalagare College, Himachal Pradesh (online), Professor Khan Muskan, Head, Department of English, Samadia College, Dr. Liaquat Ayub Khan, Professor, Department of Civics and Politics, College of Mumbai, and Dr. Waheeda Abdul Razak Sheikh, Head, Department of Political Science, Azam Abideh Educational Complex, Pune. The program was moderated by Professor Sameer Momin.

Technology and transit development using the Chabahar port were among the key points of this two-day conference. Some speakers also participated and delivered speeches online.

Mohammad Reza Fazel, head of the Islamic Republic of Iran House of Culture in Mumbai, referred to the long history of cultural exchange between the two countries and described the historical relations between the two nations as based on human values. He referred to the presence of Iranian scholars at the courts of Indian kings and the spread of Persian as an official language in India over many years. The existence of dozens of Persian-language chairs and groups at Indian universities and the study of Iranian students in India and Indian students and academics in Iran in recent decades are a sign of the cultural relations between the two countries, and in view of the geographical and historical continuity of the two countries, the expansion of these relations is in the interest of both countries. At the end of the conference, an Iranian film was screened by the House of Culture of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mumbai and certificates were distributed; the collection of conference papers will be published shortly.

It may be recalled that the Samadiya College of Arts and Commerce, affiliated to the University of Mumbai, is an educational institution under the supervision of the Muslim community of India. It started its work 50 years ago with the establishment of a school in this underprivileged area through the efforts of the Bhiwandi Weavers Educational Association. About 10 years ago, the academic department started its work and was able to obtain ISO 9001:2015 certification and B grade from the Evaluation Division of the Department of Academic Education, Ministry of Higher Education, Government of India.

Sharif Hassan Momin is the President of the Weavers Association, Dr. Abdul Rauf Momin is the Vice President, Dr. Anis Ahmed Momin is the Treasurer, Khif N. Momin is the secretary and vice chairman of the association.
