On March 28, 2025, coinciding with the 27th of Ramadan 1446, the Cultural Consultation of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Nigeria, on the occasion of the International Quds Day, has made plans to familiarize people with the various events of the Holy Quds and the humanitarian and Islamic duties towards it. The main purpose of these programs is to promote public awareness about the history of Al-Quds and its importance in the Islamic world.
In this regard, the International Quds Day conference was held in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria, with the participation of a large number of scholars, scientific and academic figures, religious centers and non-governmental organizations, along with the participation of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Al-Huda Cultural and Educational Institute. This conference aims to create cohesion and solidarity between Muslims and people, and examines important issues related to Al-Quds and the necessity of supporting it, and the role of people in its implementation. He emphasized the appropriate programs on this important day.
Such events, especially in the current situation where the Islamic world is facing various challenges and threats, are of great importance in strengthening solidarity among Muslims and preserving the Palestinian causes.
In his remarks on the occasion of the International Quds Day, Mr. Mir Yousefi, the Acting Chargé d'Affaires of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Nigeria, referred to the anniversary of the historic initiative of Imam Khomeini (RA), which named the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as the "International Quds Day". This initiative, which has now become a symbol of unity and solidarity of all human beings of all races and nationalities, is of special importance.
He went on to refer to the oppressed situation of the Palestinian people and the crimes of the Zionist regime, noting that the occupation, repression, murder and crimes against the Palestinian people by the Zionist regime continue.
