Iranian Film and Cinema Day Held at Abuja University

On the occasion of the glorious beginning of the celebrations of the 46th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, the Cultural Consultation of our country in Nigeria has prepared a series of programs for the decade of the dawn of the Islamic Revolution for this year.

On the occasion of the glorious beginning of the celebrations of the 46th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, the Cultural Consultation of our country in Nigeria has prepared a series of programs for the decade of the dawn of the Islamic Revolution for this year. 

In this regard, the Cultural Consultation of our country has introduced the artistic achievements of Islamic Iran in the creative film industry in this country, benefiting from local capacities, institutions, organizations and networks throughout the country of Nigeria. In this regard, with the planning made at the beginning of the decade of the dawn of the Islamic Revolution, the "Iranian Film and Cinema Day at the University of Abuja"  was held for the first time in this university.

    Mr. Majid Kamrani, the Cultural Advisor of our country, in the opening ceremony of the Film Day of the Islamic Republic of Iran at the University of Abuja, which was held at the Faculty of General Studies and Foreign Languages of this university, said that with the blessing of the holy system of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Islamic Republic of Iran celebrates the 46th anniversary of its Islamic Revolution all over the world, especially in the friendly and brotherly country of Nigeria. Islamic Iran has made many amazing advances in all aspects, including in the field of aerospace, medical sciences, technology and technology, etc.  and one of these areas is the creative arts and industry, i.e. film and cinema, which Nigerians understand better than others because of their Nollywood presence. He went on to refer to the achievements of our country in producing more than 110 films per year and the qualification of at least 6 of the produced films to international festivals around the world, including the Oscars and Cannes, and the winning of international awards in this field every year.

 

In the following, Prof. Rabio Balarada Mohammed, Dean of the Faculty of General Studies and Foreign Languages of the University of Abuja, considered the screening of Iranian films very useful for the students of this university and called for the continuation of scientific, academic and cultural cooperation with the Iranian Embassy and Iranian scientific centers.

 The Iranian Film and Cinema Day was held at the University of Abuja with the very close cooperation of the General Directorate of Media Cooperation and Cyberspace of the organization, with the screening of the film Goodbye Girl of Shirazi in one of the large halls of this faculty.
