Iran Culture House, New Delhi & Mumbai, in collaboration with Maulana Azad College, Aurangabad, Maharashtra, organized the "International Conference on "Art and Literature in the holy scripture of Islam and Hinduism" on December 27, 2024, at this college.
Dr. Mazhar Farooqi, Director of the aforementioned college, Dr. Fariduddin Farid Asr, Cultural Counselor of the Islamic Republic of Iran in New Delhi; Mr. Mohammad Reza Fazel Kohani, Mr. Qaheraman Soleimani, Director, Persian Research Center, New Delhi, Mr. Abdul Wajid Qaderi, Head of the Jamaat-e-Islami Branch in Aurangabad, Maulana Mohammad Nasimuddin Miftahi, Head of the Aurangabad Hajj Services Committee, Maulana Makram Ali Beg, Imam of the Friday prayers of the Shiites of Aurangabad, Dr. Mohammad Reza Movahhedi, Dr. Hamid Talkhabi, Dr. Ali Reza Bakhshi and Dr. Ehsan Pournoman, and professors and students of this college were present at the opening ceremony of this Academic cum-cultural seminar.
Dr. Mazhar Farooqi, while welcoming and appreciating the Cultural houses of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Delhi and Mumbai for holding this event, he discussed the historical and cultural commonalities between Iran and India and the role of art and literature in it.
Dr. FaridAsr, the Academic secretary of this conference, said regarding the main theme of this conference: The current conference, which is being held under the title "Art and Literature in the Religious Texts of Islam and Hinduism", aims to examine the artistic and literary manifestations of religious texts in these two religions from a comparative or independent perspective.
The academic sessions of this conference were held in two separate sections with the presence of interested parties and the participants read their papers.
The reading session of the papers of the international conference on the topic of "Art and Literature in the holy scriptures of Islam and Hinduism" started at 11:30 on the same day in the conference hall, and this program continued in the second session from 16:00 PM.
In these two sessions, a number of authors of about 30 papers received from India and Iran presented their papers in person or online.
